At the Annual General Meeting on 18 June, Lorenzo Beretta was elected to lead the Associazione Industriali delle Carni e dei Salumi, which groups together more than 180 companies in the sector
The Assembly of ASSICA, the Meat and Cured Meat Industrial Association, held today in Bologna unanimously elected Lorenzo Beretta as its new President.
Beretta, already Vice President of the Association several times, takes over the baton from Francesco Pizzagalli.
“I would like to thank all our associates for the trust placed in me and the Presidents who preceded me: Francesco Pizzagalli, first and foremost, Pietro D'Angeli and Ruggero Lenti, to mention only the last, who with their work and their passion for these years have inspired and supported me for this important role.
The current Italian and international economic-social context in which our sector is moving requires the maximum commitment and involvement of all companies, a commitment that can yield the greatest fruits and results precisely within Assica. Today more than ever we need to have a common, single and strong voice, in order to have answers, certainties, timely support interventions and, naturally, defined programs for the future from the institutions" - stated the new president Lorenzo Beretta.
