The Assembly of members of ASSITAMA, the Italian Association of Slaughterhouse Companies, which met yesterday afternoon at the Legnaro headquarters, renewed the top management with the passing of the baton from Marco Favaro (Macello Piemonte Nord Srl) to Loris Colomberotto (Colomberotto SpA). Marco Fortuna and Marco Favaro elected Vice Presidents.
“I thank my friend Favaro for the work carried out within our Association – said Loris Colomberotto – and I am honored by the appointment to the top of ASSITAMA. Our path within the Interprofessional Organization OI Intercarneitalia continues in the National Transformation Committee, together with Assocarni and I hope that the third organization in the slaughter sector, Uniceb, will also join it to overcome the divisions that have characterized these three years of launching the only inter-profession recognized at a national level.”
I send a message to my friends Serafino Cremonini, President of Assocarni and Carlo Siciliani, President of Uniceb - continues Colomberotto - so that we can meet as soon as possible, to establish a dialogue and concrete collaboration, with the aim of "modernising the system of representation” of the transformation sector and quickly arrive at a single organization, which represents all the slaughtering industries to create, with the breeders, a livestock supply chain that enhances the breeding of beef cattle, to help companies stay on the market and, consequently, slaughterhouses to optimize the value chain.”
