Share of producers from Veneto-Trentine mountain areas rises to 44%
The Consorzio Tutela Formaggio Asiago, a promoter of territorial development, announces the entry of two new members into the Asiago cheese production chain and confirms its commitment to enhancing its unique and distinctive identity.
Malga Biancoia and Malga Mazze Inferiori, both located on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni plateau, at 1100 and 1200 meters, respectively, join the Consorzio Tutela Formaggio Asiago, which, since 2006, has been promoting the production of Asiago Prodotto della Montagna, a specialty of excellence recognized and protected by the European Union. The dynamism and confidence in the future of PDO production is consolidated with these new entries, particularly in the Veneto-Trentine mountain area, which comes to represent 44 percent of the total number of producers.
