The award today in Modena
Marcello Palmieri, owner together with his brothers of the Mec Palmieri delicatessen in San Prospero (Modena), where the unique and unmistakable Favola mortadella is produced, recognised six times as the best mortadella in Italy by the Guida Salumi d'Italia. A page in the history of Italian charcuterie encapsulated in a sausage made from only the finest Italian meat, sweet Cervia wholemeal salt, natural flavourings and acacia honey, and cooked in a thin, natural rind. The award will be conferred today 14 October 2023 at 11.30 a.m. in Piazza Grande in Modena during the autumn event of the Confraternity.
