The agricultural world represented by Coldiretti, industry with about fifty companies, large-scale retail trade with Conad and Carrefour, finance with Intesa Sanpaolo and Cdp, and now also chain restaurants: the parterre of members of Filiera Italia, the foundation set up to promote Italian agri-foodstuffs by bringing together all the players in the chain, has been enriched with the accession of McDonald's.
The American multinational has for some time now been on a path of 'Italianisation' thanks to a strategic partnership with Coldiretti and a supply chain 85% of which is made up of Italian companies from which around 100,000 tonnes of products are purchased every year for an investment of almost 240 million euro.
