The new director of MEatSCHOOL has been announced by president Elisa Pilotto: Paolo Amedeo Garofalo will direct the Academy dedicated to the culture of beef in Tombolo, in the province of Padua.
«After more than twenty years of experience as a meat buyer and category manager at the main leaders of large-scale retail trade in Italy – says Garofalo – it is with great pride that I welcome this new role of mine in MEatSCHOOL. I have been in charge of the development section of the Academy for more than a year and my desire is to establish it more and more as a point of reference for training in the beef supply chain in Italy, in order to train the consumers and professionals of tomorrow."
Supported by Centro Carni Company, one of the main national companies in the processing of beef, MEatSCHOOL was created with the aim of making up for the lack of personnel in the various areas of the meat production chain and spreading its values and culture. In 2023 the Academy entered full capacity, totaling over 200 people trained and 130 students currently in training, including lessons aimed at company staff, aspiring professionals and meat lovers. Among the objectives for 2024 of Elisa Pilotto, Paolo Amedeo Garofalo and the Academy team are new courses for professional training in the distribution world, collaborations with temporary agencies for pre-employment training, new courses for private individuals (also online) and a specific training course dedicated to the sensorial analysis of meat.
