More money from the call for direct support to mussel farming
The Regional Councillor for Agriculture, Donato Pentassuglia, met, together with Rosa Fiore, manager of the Project Structure for the Implementation of the European Policy for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Department of Agriculture, the representatives of the ten Apulian municipalities beneficiaries of the measure 1.43 ‘Ports, landing places, auction halls and fishing shelters’ of the Feamp, the Operational Programme 2014-2020 of the European Maritime Policy, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund, which is currently being closed. Resources amounting to EUR 9.4 million have been committed by the Apulia Region for this measure, intended to implement in several municipalities, from Gargano to Salento, the improvement of landing places and the creation of infrastructures dedicated to the direct marketing of the catch, an activity that is increasingly appreciated by consumers.
