African Swine Fever Commissioner Giovanni Filippini on Focus Economia hosted by Sebastiano Barisoni on Radio 24: ‘we need to cull more wild boars’.
‘We certainly have an important wild boar population, higher than the normal balance between this animal species and the various territories. So it is clear that the virus has found a substrate. We certainly have to cull many more because we have important numbers on the territories. This imbalance obviously has an impact both from a health point of view and in terms of damage to agriculture. We have to control the wild boar population much more.’ This was stated by the Extraordinary Commissioner for African Swine Fever Giovanni Filippini to Focus Economia presented by Sebastiano Barisoni on Radio 24.
