Such an ultra-processed product would lead to the compromising of the meat supply chains that have made so much effort in recent years to renew their production processes in order to meet the need to conserve environmental resources while maintaining high quality standards," said President SICILIANI in a press release.
"Let's not forget, on the other hand, that the production of synthetic meat requires a very high cost in energy and furthermore the long-term consequences on human health are unknown at the moment.
