Discover, taste, listen to... in BolognaFiere from the 26th to the 28th of February
Get to know the producers of 750 wineries from 21 countries
They share new horizons, common challenges and future goals. They come from China, Croatia, Georgia, North Macedonia, Romania and Slovenia, not forgetting France, Germany and Spain, and all the regions of our peninsula. They are the producers who gather at the Slow Wine Fair to tackle the debate on the climate crisis together, exchange ideas and good production practices, and speak up for the needs of those who already work with respect for the earth. And to let everyone know about their wines, of course!
Good, clean and fair drinking
Venture among the producers of the tasting counter and fall in love with the over 3,000 labels on the Wine List: at Slow Wine Fair professionals and enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore, discover and taste the splendid diversity of the world of wine.
Listen to the stories of the Slow Wine Coalition delegates
Slow Wine Fair is above all the international meeting of the Slow Wine Coalition, the international, inclusive and collaborative network that unites the protagonists of the world of wine: winemakers, enthusiasts and professionals of the supply chain. An opportunity for discussion and debate among all the players on the network, in the wake of Terra Madre's almost twenty years of experience.
Taste
Caucasian wines, French champagnes and biodynamic labels, from Italy to China: the Slow Wine Fair masterclasses are the perfect opportunity to explore the Italian and international wine scene, and the world of bitters. Eight in-depth appointments in which enthusiasts and professionals in the sector will be able to learn about vintages, terroirs and producers, tasting wines made with respect for the environment and workers, with love for the landscape and for the good of the agricultural community of reference. Discover all the tastings here.
Reflect
Not only wine, tastings and masterclasses: at Slow Wine Fair we give space to debates and meetings in which to explore the themes at the heart of the event. From Latin America to Croatia, from China to the United States, passing through the precious contributions of the event's partners, in the Slow Wine Arena - Reale Mutua and in Sala Opera, members of the Slow Wine Coalition, industry professionals and enthusiasts discuss climate crisis, sustainable packaging, international viticulture, territorial associations and cultural ties. Check out all the appointments here.
Discover the sweet world of amaro
No card dedicated to the restaurant, no sommelier, no denomination of controlled origin, no consortium. Yet amaro is a typical Italian product par excellence. At the Slow Wine Fair we will delve into its history, traditions and ingredients thanks to tastings, meetings and a dedicated area, where exhibitors and industry professionals can talk about their production.
Scouting over 150 places with the best wine selection
During the event, enthusiasts and professionals will be able to attend the ceremony of the Carta Vini Terroir and Spirito Slow Award, born from the collaboration between Slow Food and Milan Wine Week. The Award confers 36 awards to those places of the heart - restaurants, wine bars, wine bars - which boast a particularly strong selection on some terroirs or on some thematic categories.
Eat
For a tasty break between one tasting and another, Slow Wine Fair offers a selection of street kitchens in which to savor local and regional specialities. The hosts cannot be missing, such as the two cats, born in the Emilian Food Valley, and the local food trucks specialized in fresh pasta: La Collina delle folle by Stappo and Bstradi. Always present the Migliori olives and those of the bowler hat, by now points of reference for Slow Food events, together with Pantura, an itinerant cuisine based in Milan.
Visit
What better occasion than the Slow Wine Fair to visit Bologna and its historic centre? Thanks to the friends of Bologna Welcome and the Slow Food Convivium of Bologna, in the days leading up to and during the event, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in guided tours, tastings, convivial dinners, curious historical lessons... and much more!
