Cremona prepares for a rich calendar of events
The festival dedicated entirely to one of the most loved and consumed cured meats on Italian tables returns to be celebrated in the streets of the center of Cremona from 6 to 8 October with a calendar full of events for the general public expected from all over Italy.
The historic center of the city will be invaded by producers from every region of the country for a busy calendar of events which includes challenges between farmhouses, awards, tastings, workshops for the little ones, show cooking and numerous musical events with traveling bands and musical parades.
The event will kick off with the challenge of Lombard farmhouses who will be asked to present their artisanal salami and will compete in an appetizing gastronomic competition. Each farm will present and have its product tasted by the public, but the final word will be up to a jury of gourmet experts and journalists, who will award the victory to the farm that offers the best artisanal salami.
