In the iconic setting of the Bar Basso in Milan, a real blind tasting, led by chef ambassador Daniele Reponi
In the setting of Bar Basso in Milan, the ‘Occhio al Gusto’ event was held today to discover the unique organoleptic characteristics of Salamini Italiani alla Cacciatora DOP. A real blind tasting led by Daniele Reponi, who led the participants on a journey focusing on the sensory differences of aroma, texture and taste, stimulating the palate through unusual and surprising combinations in terms of pleasantness and harmony of flavours. In detail, he proposed Salamini Italiani alla Cacciatora PDO in five different combinations:
1) with pumpkin cream and onions borrettane with balsamic vinegar;
2) with crispy sweet potato and savoy cabbage julienne with soy sauce
3) with cauliflower cream and mascarpone cheese with white truffle shavings
4) with fresh kiwi, two drops of Tabasco and toasted sesame seeds
5) with three-milk robiola, songino, orange zest (homage to the wrong Negroni).
«I am convinced that today's sensory experience proved that Salamini Italiani alla Cacciatora, in addition to the snack and picnic, can also become a quality protagonist of the Italian aperitif ritual, enhancing and enriching this tradition» said Paolo Beretta, president of the Consorzio Cacciatore Italiano.
