The event, conceived by the I Love Italian Food network, was attended by a large number of international Ho.re.ca. professionals, who particularly appreciated the Masterclasses, based on the three PDO Salumi
Coppa Piacentina, Pancetta Piacentina and Salame Piacentino were the protagonists in Munich of The Italian Show, an initiative that took place on 24 March at the Eisbach Studios in Munich, a modern location for events, just a few kilometres from the city centre.
The Italian Show is the format developed and promoted by I Love Italian Food, an international network and a non-profit association, aimed at Ho.re.ca. professionals and dedicated to telling the story of Made in Italy supply chains abroad. The Piacenza delegation was represented by the secretary of the Consorzio di Tutela Salumi DOP Piacentini Lorella Ferrari and chef Paco Zanobini. There were many visits to the Consortium’s stand, including that of chef Gennaro Esposito.
From the central stage of the event dedicated to themed masterclasses, chef Zanobini demonstrated how PDO Piacenza cured meats can be used in the kitchen as well as in their pure form. Particularly appreciated by those present was a Carnaroli rice mantecato cacio e pepe with porcini mushroom powder and crispy Piacenza PDO Pancetta.
