The Prosciutto di San Daniele Consortium with the support of the European Union launches a new communication campaign in Italy, France and Germany dedicated to the communication of actions to protect the environment of sustainability issues

The Prosciutto di San Daniele Consortium, with the support of the European Union, launches a new communication campaign in Italy, France and Germany dedicated to the communication of actions to protect the environment on sustainability issues. The aim of the communication initiative is to inform consumers and stakeholders in the three countries in order to build and maintain a dialogue with them on the subject of sustainability attributable to Prosciutto di San Daniele. The Friulian PDO is in fact a product of European agriculture and adopts sustainable behaviour practices that are included in the “from Farm to Fork” strategies in favour of the objectives of Agenda 2030 to which the Consortium itself refers. This approach is based on the premise that the full sustainability of the Prosciutto di San Daniele chain is based on concrete actions by all actors involved.


The Prosciutto di San Daniele Consortium aims to involve specific targets through factual, but at the same time engaging and emotional communication. The information content underlying the campaign will be extrapolated from the sustainability model, a document that the Consortium adopted in 2019 in which the objectives and actions for each area of intervention are indicated. The themes and actions will be disseminated through a dedicated landing page and a communication campaign online, on social networks and within the points of sale of large-scale retail chains. In addition, for in-depth communication with distribution operators, workshops will be organised in France and Germany to allow direct confrontation with professionals.
