Carpenedo Casearia triumphs at Caseus Veneti

Conciato al Pepe Nero” received the Gold Critics’ Award  and the Popular Jury Award

A true triumph was achieved by La Casearia Carpenedo at the recently 18th edition of Caseus Veneti. The cheese “Conciato al Pepe Nero” received the Gold Critics’ Award and the Popular Jury Award, handed over to the producer and refiner Antonio Carpenedo, as well as founder of the Treviso-based company, by Gioacchino Bonsignore renowned Mediaset television face and Alberto Marcomini, journalist, author and among the greatest connoisseurs of the art of cheese making.
Conciato al Pepe Nero was create from Antonio Carpenedo's fascination with spices, their scents and origins. The fresh cheese made from pasteurized cow's milk is properly aged for 5 months and at the perfect time sealed in oak barrels with a mixture of pepper that remains jealously guarded. The barrels filled in this way follow a precise rotation schedule to allow perfect transformation and transfer of flavors.
