Salumificio Palmieri's Mortadella Favola in Gambero Rosso's Top Italian Food

The famous salami and Zampone Corte dei Pico included among the excellence made in Italy products at the prestigious exhibition, also appreciated at an international level

Salumificio Palmieri, a historic company from San Prospero (Mo) among the most relevant in the panorama of Italian cured meats, has been included in Gambero Rosso's Top Italian Food 2024, the publication dedicated to the best products of Italian agri-food excellence. Two of the company's products have obtained the recognition: Mortadella Favola l'Originale and Zampone Corte dei Pico. Gambero Rosso experts chose the products after in-depth tasting, confirming their undisputed high quality. The guide was presented during an awards event, held on 18 December 2023 at Palazzo Brancaccio in Rome, followed by a tasting.

Now in its eighth edition, Top Italian Food brings together over 2,000 excellent products made in Italy and allows companies to stand out on national and international markets. Translated into English and Chinese, the guide is widely distributed on international markets and highlights the companies among sector operators and Gambero Rosso's target consumers: a gourmet audience, interested as much in trends as in the territory and tradition.

Salumificio Palmieri was pleased to offer those present the opportunity to taste Mortadella Favola, the first in the world stuffed into rind, with a soft and delicate flavour. The mortadella, rich in noble cuts of pork, is a Palmieri patent. A unique harmony of flavours, enriched by acacia honey and natural flavourings.
