At Plan de Corones, autumn gets off to a super-gourmet start with the Speck Festival, from 30 September to 1 October 2023
The most mouth-watering autumn weekend in South Tyrol is very close: it is the Speck Festival, which for the first time will be held at Plan de Corones on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October 2023. A weekend that will put the spotlight on the real protagonist, Speck Alto Adige PGI, and will prove to be a meeting place for gourmets and lovers of Speck Alto Adige PGI who, for the occasion, will arrive at Plan de Corones from all over the world.
Sampling and tasting in the midst of an extraordinary panorama in the Dolomites, but not only. During the Speck Festival at Plan de Corones it will in fact be possible to attend workshops on Speck Alto Adige PGI and learn how to use it in the kitchen in a thousand creative ways, to fully exploit its potential and, above all, its flavour. In addition, there will also be gastro-nomical stands where you can taste the full, smoky flavour of Speck Alto Adige PGI and decide to treat yourself to a unique product, buying it directly in the area.
Here you will be able to buy Speck Alto Adige PGI as well as Bauernspeck, made from selected pork from small farms on South Tyrolean farms. In addition, it will be possible to enjoy other typical South Tyrolean products.
The Plan de Corones Speck Festival will start on Saturday 30 September and, until Sunday 1 October, will have a full programme of events and tastings.
