Unaitalia, the association representing the Italian poultry sector, welcomes the European Commission’s communication on the new Animal Production Strategy, which helps to restore dignity and prominence to the animal production sector by setting out a long-term vision that highlights the sector’s role in supporting future priorities – food security, industrial competitiveness and the vitality of rural areas – and which strengthens Europe’s capacity to tackle geopolitical, climate and health challenges (read the EFA News article).
