The future of fishing between professionalism and skills

The challenges of the sector discussed at the conference 'Blue Skills & Jobs: orienting the professions of the future in the seafood supply chain' organised by Legacoop Agroalimentare as part of the European Maritime Day in my Country held in Rome at Spazio Europa

Fishing has the charm of an ancient craft, the poetry of a centuries-old tradition that is handed down from father to son through the rituality of gestures, the wisdom of generations. But today all this is no longer enough. Modern fishing needs knowledge, the ability to read the markets, to be updated on technology and innovation. The fisherman today can not only fish, but must deal with the issues of sustainability, with the green and digital transitions. These aspects are fundamental for the survival of a trade that must adapt to the times.

These are the themes of the conference Blue Skills & Jobs: guiding the professions of the future in the fish supply chain organized by Legacoop Agroalimentare as part of the European Maritime Day in my Country and the European Year of Skills, which was held in Rome at Spazio Europe, the European Parliament Office in Italy and the European Commission Representation in Italy.
