Traditional fishing in the Strait of Messina becomes part of the Slow Food Presidia family: ‘In this way, the fishing community that preserves these techniques will be able to continue to practice selective and seasonal fishing and give due value to the great variety of species that are caught all year round, varying techniques and tools,’ emphasises Antonella Donato, fisherman and president of the Associazione Pescatori Feluca dello Stretto, which brings together operators from both sides of the Strait.
