The Region confirms the construction of a pilot fish farm in La Spezia
An experimental project for off-shore aquaculture zones between Deiva Marina and Sarzana will start soon. This was announced by the regional councillor with responsibility for fishing, Alessandro Piana, recalling that the Region, together with the competent authorities and the Ligurian Flags, has carried out the experimental project to identify the Aza, the marine areas assigned for aquaculture in the Province of La Spezia. These are areas designated for aquaculture that meet environmental, hygiene, and animal welfare standards and that are favourable to work safety, growth, fish welfare, and socio-economic aspects.
