Legacoop Agroalimentare at the European Parliament for a hearing of the Committee on Fisheries (PECH) with Elena Ghezzi
“Simplicity is the ultimate simplification.” Quoting Leonardo da Vinci, Elena Ghezzi, head of the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector at Legacoop Agroalimentare, opened her address this morning before the European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries (PECH). At the heart of the public hearing was the urgent need to boost the competitiveness of the fisheries sectors through a drastic reduction in bureaucracy and regulatory burdens.
During the hearing, Ghezzi presented a strategic vision based on three fundamental pillars: legislative coordination, proportionality and a level playing field. The objective is clear: to transform the regulatory framework from an obstacle into a driver for sustainable development.
