Federpesca takes stock of Life Dream’s efforts to remove plastic from the seabed
The fishing industry continues to play an active role in the circular economy and in the removal of marine litter. This was highlighted during the closing conference of the European LIFE Dream project (Deep Reef Restoration and Litter Removal in the Mediterranean Sea), held at the Port of Forio, within the Regno di Nettuno Marine Protected Area.
The event, organised by CNR-ISMAR with the support of Federpesca and the Regno di Nettuno Marine Protected Area, took stock of the results achieved over five years of activity in the Mediterranean, highlighting the contribution of fishermen in the southern Adriatic and the Gulf of Naples.
