Agripesca, a national player in the representation of fishing enterprises, is organising a major conference in Mazara del Vallo – the home of red prawn fishing – as part of the PNT 2025–2027 programme.
The ‘Custodi del mare’ (Guardians of the Sea) project marks another significant milestone in its journey to explore the complex world of fishing, with a particular focus on the situation in Mazara del Vallo and across Sicily.
“Fishing is currently facing difficulties,” explains Mario Serpillo, national president of Agripesca, “not only because of the relentless rise in the cost of diesel but also due to the need to pursue the environmental sustainability that is essential for protecting the biodiversity of our seas.”
