"The Special Commissioner for the blue crab must be appointed as soon as possible." Cristian Maretti, president of Legacoop Agroalimentare, is asking for this since the emergency is certainly not over. "One year after the first measures implemented by the ministry, we reconfirm the need for coordination of the disaster and await the appointment of the Special Commissioner (as established by Legislative Decree no. 63 of May 15, 2024). We also hope that the intervention plan, which must be drawn up by the commissioner, includes the active involvement of trade associations and businesses in the area to best direct the available resources."
