The “Sustainability of Romagnola Clam Fishing – (SPVR)” project – funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region using FLAG GALPA COSTA DELL’EMILIA-ROMAGNA funds – is now in full swing.
On Monday 13 June, the first at-sea sampling campaign took place, involving two vessels from COGEMO Rimini: one equipped with the new Green Hydraulic Dredger (DIG) and the other with the traditional hydraulic dredger, which is wider, heavier and less selective. On board were two young biologists from the M.A.R.E. cooperative in Cattolica, which is the project’s scientific lead, tasked with collecting and analysing the data.
