OI IntercarneItalia calls for a level 3 in ecoschemes
The Ministerial Decree recognizing the production specification "Sustainable Livestock Livestock Standard applicable to breeding for the production of beef" was issued yesterday with great satisfaction of the farmers who believed in it throughout the process, which began on 19 July 2019, at the Hotel Crowne Plaza in Padua, with a national conference on the theme: "Environmental, social and economic sustainability of bovine livestock farming produced in Italy".
Once the proposal was launched, the farmers organized a technical table with experts who developed the "Sustainable Farming" regulations, which after a long administrative process, made up of comparisons and adjustments, was implemented by the Veneto Region within the Regional Quality System and notified to the European Commission. The definitive approval in October 2023 and yesterday, the transposition by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty with the publication on the MASAF website of the Decree signed by the Director General for the promotion of agri-food quality, Dr. Eleonora Iacovoni and by the Director, Dr. Stefania Mastromarino.
