With regard to the serious development of the African Swine Fever epidemic on our territory, we deemed it necessary to urge the Ministers of Health, Agriculture, Enterprise and Defence, as well as the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health and the Extraordinary Commissioner for the PSA,' reads a press release issued by President Carlo Siciliani, 'with the following request because the repercussions on the entire Italian pig supply chain, from breeding to slaughtering to processing, are calling into question the present and above all the future of typical pork production in Italy and around the world.
