The thesis of a student from Tula, in Food Quality and Safety, which offers a comprehensive overview of the economy related to Sardinian excellence
The suckling pig market in Sardinia reached a value of EUR 50 million in 2023, with 735,000 animals slaughtered. Of these, 75 per cent were destined for the local zero-kilometre market. These data, based on current herd statistics, were presented in the degree thesis of Antonio Sanna, a student from Tula, who recently graduated in ‘Quality and Safety of Food Products’ at the Oristano branch of the University of Sassari.
