For the sheep and goat sector, the way out of the tunnel lies in recognition as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). The 'deep crisis' in the sector was denounced by Stefano Fabrizi, director of Confagricoltura Abruzzo, in a document presented to the Regional Council today. 'Every day stables are closing and the new CAP has accelerated the phenomenon by resetting Community aid to zero,' Fabrizi states.
