Councillor Morroni: ‘Crucial step towards sustainable wildlife management’
The Regional Council of Umbria, following unanimous approval, has given the go-ahead to the ‘Disciplinare per la filiera delle carni di ungulati prelevati in regime di controllo’ (Specifications for the supply chain of meat from ungulates taken under control). This measure is part of the Extraordinary Plan for wildlife management, adopted by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture in 2023, with the aim of controlling and enhancing the territory's natural resources, in particular through the creation of a regional chain dedicated to game meat, starting with wild boar.
