President Scognamiglio laments catch restrictions that penalise Italy more than other countries
‘Beyond the government's positive initiatives, programmatic alliances are needed in Europe to avoid Italy's isolation in fishing policies and to mark a turning point, archiving the Brussels strategy that has only damaged the sector’. This was the view of Gennaro Scognamiglio, national president of Unci AgroAlimentare, during the meeting between the government and the category's representatives at the G7 Agriculture meeting in Syracuse, in the presence of the ministers for Agriculture (Francesco Lollobrigida), the Environment (Gilberto Pichetto Fratin) and Labour (Marina Calderone).
