Federpesca: Fisheries Management degree course important news for the sector

New three-year degree course on sustainable management of companies and institutions involved in the fisheries and aquaculture chain

01, May 2024

"We welcome with great pleasure the news of the agreement between MASAF and the Marche Polytechnic University to launch a new three-year degree course on the sustainable management of companies and institutions involved in the fishing and aquaculture supply chain. The only one of its kind at national level, the course wanted by Minister Lollobrigida, entitled 'Management for the Sustainable Valorisation of Fishing Companies and Resources', represents a step towards strengthening training in this sector. Building a qualification that can also be pursued at university level is fundamental to ensure that fish operators can make a quantum leap in order to face the challenges of modernity such as those of sustainability, food safety, product valorisation, and digitalisation to look to the future with confidence. The hope is that this course can be a stimulus for the many students to discover and approach the world of fishing as a sector where they can build a future of satisfaction." - thus in a Federpesca note.
