More than 1,000 boats and 6.1 billion in turnover for the industry greeted the first day of the event
Not even an earthquake tremor measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale managed to overshadow the opening of the 62nd edition of the Genoa Boat Show.
A little bit of fear but nothing more, for the shake-up felt throughout the exhibition area hosting this six-day event of boats and sea but also of building sites for the waterfront designed by Renzo Piano that will change the face of the former Fairground. The Boat Show will end on Tuesday 27 September and is multi-specialised: it covers an area of eight quays, a covered marquee, and a two-storey pavilion.
