The Earth Market with dozens of producers from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy and abroad
The festival in honour of the Pitina PGI, Friuli Venezia Giulia's first Slow Food presidium, the smoked and spiced meatball (sheep, goat or originally chamois and roe deer), created to preserve meat during the autumn and winter months in traditionally poor areas, is back.
Appointment on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November in the heart of Val Tramontina, in the village of Tramonti di Sopra (PN), which will be transformed into the Earth Market (covered), an exhibition-market of food and wine excellence, starting with pitina and the other regional and national Slowfood presidia, with dozens of producers present, arriving from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy and even from beyond the border.
