Le soluzioni Epta danno slancio al Reparto Freschi

Dove la freschezza raggiunge il suo Zenith e l’appeal visivo diventa protagonista

11, Mar 2026

Epta elevates freshness to its zenith and transforms it into a design language that inspires the name of the new cutting-edge Costan/Bonnet Névé line of vertical cabinets, presented as an exclusive preview at EuroShop 2026. Zenith transcends the technological dimension to become a visual expression, in line with the priority of visibility in contemporary retail. Consumers respond increasingly positively to displays that combine functionality and spectacularity, transforming product presentation into a compelling experience. Zenith embodies this vision and represents a symbol of Epta's conscious innovation, founded on four strategic pillars: merchandising, sustainability, reliability, and digital & services.

HIGH VISIBILITY

Essential design and contemporary aesthetics

Transparency is the key element: Zenith cabinets are conceived as ultra-transparent volumes, resting on solid foundations. Glass doors and side panels form the main surfaces, creating a sense of absolute lightness where the display case "disappears" and the products take center stage.

From a structural standpoint, the height of the doors, both upwards and downwards, expands the overall display surface, with a 5% increase in Total Display Area compared to previous NT remote models and 13% compared to the Integral series.

In line with this design choice, the thin, transparent polycarbonate handles are designed to accentuate the appeal of the displayed products and positioned at an ergonomic and comfortable height, ensuring easy access to the display case, in accordance with the principles of inclusive design.

SUSTAINABILITY

At the pinnacle of sustainable refrigeration

A symbol of sustainable refrigeration, the Zenith line combines high display quality with best-in-class energy performance, balancing efficiency and design.

Each model has been carefully optimized to achieve an average observed energy saving of 36% on Advance models, promoting a faster return on investment and reduced operating costs. All cabinets are Class B and use 100% natural refrigerants, demonstrating Epta's commitment to protecting the environment.

Demonstrating its technological leadership, Epta is presenting a prototype of the Zenith at the trade fair, in a unique configuration designed to achieve Class A in 3M0. Thanks to technical features such as further refinements to the air circuit, high-energy efficiency components, and improved insulation, the cabinets are characterized by a significant reduction in heat loss and energy consumption, up to 32% compared to the Class B Zenith Advance+. Although still in the concept phase, the results confirm Epta's commitment to high-performance solutions, positioning the prototype as a benchmark for energy efficiency in the retail environments of the future.

All Zenith cabinets have been enhanced in terms of insulation, transferring the standards adopted for negative temperature cabinets to the positive temperature display cases, thanks to the doubling of the foamed structure thickness from 30 mm to 60 mm. The result is improved thermal stability across the entire line, with Class 4 performance exclusively for the Advance+ models. Completing the package is a foaming process that uses cyclopentane, eliminating the use of PFAS substances, further strengthening the range's environmental sustainability.

Finally, Epta is conducting a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) on the Zenith model, already compliant with Eurovent Product Category Rules (cPCR), to provide an objective and verifiable assessment of its environmental impact. LCAs analyze the entire life cycle of the product, from material selection and energy consumption to greenhouse gas emissions and end-of-life management. Thanks to this data, Epta enables transparent comparisons with previous-generation cabinets, confirming its commitment to responsible and sustainable product design.

RELIABILITY

Designed to last, always reliable

All Zenith models are designed as a robust, ready-to-install, single-piece unit, up to a length of 3.75 m. This solution is designed to simplify installation while simultaneously ensuring safe transportation. Conceived from a revolutionary concept and tested through eight dedicated field tests, the Zenith line ensures long-lasting durability, reliability, and reduced maintenance throughout the product's entire life cycle.

Accessibility is carefully considered: the electrical box is positioned at the top of the cabinet, ensuring quick and safe access without space constraints. Valves, sensors, and evaporator connections are visible and easily accessible, for more effective maintenance throughout the cabinet's lifespan.

Key components such as LED lighting and handles are designed for quick and easy replacement, helping to extend the life of the cabinets for consistent performance, aesthetics, and reliability over time.

Versatility in every model

Zenith solutions embody Epta's expertise in natural refrigeration technologies, from remote transcritical CO2 units to Integral propane (R290) models.

The range includes the following cabinets:

o Zenith Advance

o Zenith Advance Open

o Zenith Advance Integral

Integral by Nature

The Zenith Advance Integral model is the first 6-door L375 closed cabinet to be powered by a single circuit and compressor. This unprecedented achievement is made possible thanks to technologically advanced features including double-structure insulation, doors with magnetic gaskets, and other compressor and evaporator upgrades.
