With his "Bad bacon jam"
Teriyaki sauce, orange and bacon jam: an intense and surprising combination that won over the jury and earned the ‘Bad bacon jam’ burger the title of winner at Burger Battle Italia 2026. The final of Burger Battle Italia, the talent show created in 2018 that crowns the King of the perfect gourmet burger every year and selects the face of the event for the current year, came to an end in Rimini a few days ago, during Beer&Food Attraction 2026. The 2026 title was won by Salvatore Diodato, from Unico Smash (Latina), who was awarded for balance, creativity, taste and charisma. The winning burger, “Bad bacon jam”, consisted of orange at the base, cheddar, beef/breaded salmon burger and bacon jam, topped with Teriyaki sauce and accompanied by Scoops chips.
